About Rookie Series

Together, Let's Grow the Future of Hockey!

Join us for the Junior Rangers Rookie Series, a program specially designed in cooperation with USA Hockey to introduce young beginners to the game of hockey. With help from Rangers Alumni and our staff, your child will experience the fun and excitement of hockey while learning the basic skills needed to enjoy the sport and have success both on and off the ice.

Scholarships

The Junior Rangers will provide families with access to full and partial scholarships for a variety of youth hockey programs based on financial need.

Learn To Play (Ages 10 & Under)

Learn the basics!

Getting started in hockey has never been easier or more convenient! This introductory program will teach your child the basic skills of skating, stick-handling, passing and shooting through (10) 1-hour lessons.

In addition, they will learn the importance of hardwork, teamwork and sportsmanship. Best of all, your child's registration also includes a FREE brand new set of head to toe CCM hockey equipment custom fitted by our friends at Pure Hockey. Past participants are welcomed to join Learn to Play for another season or all three! However, they will not receive a set of equipment if they have participated in the program before.

Please see FAQs below for detailed equipment information.

Rookie League

Play the Game! Now that your child has the basics covered, let's take it up a notch! Each player will have the chance to put their skills to the test in a fun and competitive environment. Participants will learn the basic game and team concepts, plus, they will build important characteristics on and off the ice: teamwork, responsibility, and respect. Once a week, for 10 weeks, your child will have the opportunity to play games led by Rangers staff. It is a fun way to meet new teammates and play some hockey!

Your $395 league fee includes:
